Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Sacramento, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had the Dry curry chicken , and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. Everything was cooked really well, and I loved the combination of flavors. The service was great, and I had a wonderful experience overall. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

Went here Saturday lunch with the whole family, nine people, and they handled it pretty well. We made a reservation on a short notice but they were able to accommodate. Staff had great energy the whole time, which helped because food kept trickling out over almost two hours The samusa was fine, nothing too special. The platha had a solid crunch with a soft inside, but the vegetable curry dip tasted more like lentil soup than anything else. All the appetizers came with a spicy, vinegary red sauce that tied everything together. The fried tofu was the best one though, crispy but crumbles when you bite it, and that sauce on the side made it even better. The tea leaf salad had a strong umami and sour flavor, heavy on the sesame like taste. The garlic noodles were bland on their own but worked as a base. For curries we got the lemongrass tofu, mango tofu, black pepper tofu, and burmese eggplant. The burmese eggplant was one of the best things we ordered, sweet and savory. Lemongrass tofu was the other one to get, balanced and not spicy. Mango ran sweeter, black pepper ran hotter. Skip the pineapple rice, it tasted like plain rice. The basmati biryani was great, it had flavor and held u

Really excellent. The chicken curry platha appetizer was a great way to get started along with the mango salad. The salad was fresh, light, and very flavorful. The garlic noodles with bbq pork were also very tasty and you are able to add spice to your preference. The spicy sauce was not hot just for spice's sake and had a lot of good flavor. The star was definitely the basil chili beef which was fragrant and delicious. Definitely recommend this place for anyone in the sac area

We went with a party of 10. Great service. Food is fantastic. Burmese food reminds me of the perfect mix between Indian and Thai food. We loved the black pepper lamb and the crispy chicken. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Not spicy unless you ask for it but still full of flavor. Curry is as great. Dry curry chicken was yum. Chicken and potato curry was good. Our least favorite was the mango chicken. The coconut rice is sweet and sticky. Some enjoyed it some didn’t. But the lamb was so good even the non-lamb eaters amongst us gave it a thumbs up! I didn’t get to take good photos by the time the dishes were passed to me lol but I did what I could. Elegantly casual vibes. Most patrons dressed casually. We arrived on a Saturday around 5 and the restaurant was almost half full. By 6pm the restaurant was pretty full. The food came out fast! We were hungry so we really appreciated it! We will return!

First time eating Burmese and it was great! Had an appetizer that was a shrimp lettuce wrap that was quite different from the Thai wraps I know. I had the Mango Chicken that was deliciously sweet without overdoing it. My friends had the Lemon Paprika Shrimp which he thoroughly enjoyed and my other friend had the Tea Leaf Salad, a very interesting one. Also had the Burmese Black Tea I believe it was called that is different from the Thai tea as well. Oh we also had the coconut rice to accompany our dishes. I loved it. The portions are generous. The service is excellent. No space left for dessert.
